Wedding number 2 July 9, 2011

Once again our second wedding went nicely, but the events leading up to it were even more hectic. Here's a long story made short. We left on our plane to Chile, dropped our things off in our hotel room, rested for a few hours and then went to go pick my mom and brother in law up from the airport. When we got there a sign showed that their flight was late. We waited for about 2 hours and it never came. We began talking to people and found out that their flight had been canceled all together thanks to the chilean volcano spewing ash :(
We then spent the next 2 hours trying to find out if they had been able to take any other flight. Basically from that point on there was alot of crazy running back and forth between our hotel, the temple and the airport. Our temple wedding was planned for 8 pm and time was running out. We finally made the decision to postpone the wedding til the next day, hoping that my mother would be able to show up.
The next morning, we headed out to look for them again. We had called the temple the night before to see if they had some how made it, but the temple reported that there was no one there with those names. We decided to go and check there one more time just in case. As we made our way to the temple hostel, out walked my mom and Drew.
For a minute I thought it was a mirage or something, but when I knew for sure it was really them I was completely relieved. They then shared the crazy story of how they had arrived.
Once they found out they were stranded in the airport, Drew went to make a phone call and as he asked the owner of the airport shop to use his phone, he began to tell the guy that they needed to get to a wedding. They guy then told hime that he had a car and could take them all the way to Chile for the wedding!
So they all jumped in the car and raced to the temple. From my mom's point of view she said it was probably the fastes, most nerve racking six hour car ride ever! But they made it there and althought they wouldnt have made it in time for the wedding, they did get to have a good night's rest for the next day.
Once reunited we spent the rest of the day relaxing, taking pictures and getting ready to be sealed.
Thank goodness there were no more complications from that point on. After a year and a half of waiting, Lucas and I were finally sealed on July 9, 2011.
(and yes, this was the short version of the story :)
